Crews stopped the discharge process immediately when the spill was discovered and strung a containment boom and deployed absorbent pads, but aerial shots from a Department of Ecology survey show a long slick extending into the canal from the accident site. Department of Ecology and federal crews are currently investigating the incident. Full story at KOMO news here. UPDATE March 17, 2014: The volume of the spill was updated from 150 gallons to 2000 after more accurate numbers were released.
