What would I like in a animal park? What is my vision of an animal based theme park of the future? Well - I think a SeaWorld / Zoo of the future would not have any real live animals at all. I think Hollywood could help in this by making use of life-like robotics. As this technology becomes more common and affordable, the reality that it could be used for the forces of good and ethical change are great. We could have robot whales, robot big cats, and shows with half robotic/person interacted creatures. We could essentially start out with a small park setting with non-animal animals. They all move like their live counterparts, but no real animals are used in the displays. So you could essentially have a theme-park type show with dazzling animals, even whales, without having to have real animals to begin with. Just a menagerie of preformers, and some really convincing robotic replicas. I think it would be a big draw, and perhaps lessen the impact on the wild. It seems to work with the dinosaur venues, and dancing robot gigs. Maybe someday, the animal parks of the future will feature rubber and metal animals instead of real ones. youtu.be/sMXQ1nrzyXs
