The firepower of the Apache is awesome; it has 12,000 30 mm rounds for the canon and sixteen Hellfire missiles.” The Pilot led the team in on a low sweep, strafing the field where the men were having maneuvers. They got mowed down like cut grass. “Go for two,” the Pilot said into his mike. The group split, two copters sending rockets into the ground vehicles, the other two devastating the warehouses and barracks. “I’d say there’re softened up,” Marc Wonder said. “Put down in that clearing.” The airships came down in a clearing that was somewhat tropical, surrounded by thick, green forests full of wildlife making their animal sounds; chirps, squawks, howls. They debarked and came into a group. Marc said, “We’re going to the edge of the woods there and wait for dark, then were going in to the base with concentrated effort on building 12. That’s were the Prince is.” “What are the rules for engagement?” Bucky asked. Marc looked at her, “None.” They went to the tree line and looked at the base, smoke rising up where it had been struck. Bucky looked at Mandy, “What do you think?” Mandy slammed a round into the magazine of her rifle, “I never imagined this,” she said. “Life is beyond imagining,” Bucky said. “Let’s get it done and go home.”
