When E & I exchanged anniversary cards yesterday (NO, Im not going to post our cards cause thats none of yall bidness... LOL) but I am going to share something about them that made my heart SING. As I began to read my card, I noticed a scripture on it. I recognized it because the card he was about to open from me contained the same exact scripture. FUNNY that we purchased our cards from two totally different stores & although they are not identical cards, they do contain the same scripture. There are many scriptures in the Bible pertaining to love but we chose cards with the exact same one. There are also hundreds of anniversary cards without scripture at all. Heres my point ~ Connecting on a physical or emotional level with your spouse is GREAT but connecting on a spiritual level is AMAZING! I pray daily for my husband & for our marriage. I place all of my FAITH in the fact that God is working in our lives. Its important not to get so caught up in every day life that we forget whats important. I urge you today to... Pray for your spouse. Pray together. Pray over your children. Pray with your children. Pray for a connection within your marriage that ONLY God can provide. Its the BEST feeling in the world to know that HE is in control. This doesnt necessarily mean that things are always perfect. It means that when things get tough, HE is there to guide us & to right our wrongs. I shudder to think what marriage would be like without HIS guidance. BLESSED not to have that problem! You dont have to have it either. Trust in HIM today & turn your marriage over to HIM. Hes waiting... ** Who knows, you could be exchanging identical scripture anniversary cards before you know it too! LOL
