When Hon. Farouq Mohammed Ganye rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party, he left no one in doubt that he seriously meant business. Before then, Farouq, as an Executive Chairman faced a serious challenge when he has fallen out with his former political benefactor and his position as the Chairman was threatened if not for the support and love he enjoyed from the masses. This is evidenced by his surviving many political onslaught against him especially the drive by his Councillors to impeach him for allegation the High Court in Yola did not hesitate to throw out as lacking substance and merit. Today, those calling for his head lost out while Farouq survived! The recent reception given to him on Sunday when he rejoined PDP tells a lot of how he consolidated his grip on the people as well as how he was able to weather the political storm bedevilling the local government for long cutting across political and religious divides. It was therefore not surprising to see people troopint out on Sunday to show the Bull that they are contented with his style of administration. With Farouq now as the leader of PDP, the party has gained its acceptability among the people and it is surely a party to beat come 2015.
