When I arrived in Chitown many moons ago I wasnt following baseball anymore . . .then slowly I got hooked into the National Pastime once again . . .living on the north side in proximity to Wrigley, I got hooked on the Cubs . . .but in 2005 the White Sox team on the south side had their mojo on full blast and showed what real baseball can do . . .get you to win a world series in uproarious fashion . . .small ball; basics, know the fundamentals, key base hits, lay down a bunt, be in position to make the best play. Being a former New Yorker I was addicted early on to the Bronx Bombers . . .never caught on with the Mets ( apologies to my friends who are) . . .but the 2005 White Sox and their captain made me smile once . . .World Champs!
