When I first met Honey, up until that point I hadnt met a dog with the amount of energy that she had. From jumping, pulling, barking & even nipping with excitement. Of course those behaviors had to be modified immediately. My approach with her as with all dogs I work with, was to be pro-active & not reactive. In oppose to always correcting her when she makes a mistake, Id stay neutral & teach the correct behavior before adding any stimulus. Force free, clear boundaries & patience have been our tools for success. This was our 3rd session together & she is truly responding to the training. Its important that the dogs not only perform for me, but also their parents. As you can see here Liz has complete control during this park session.
