When I found out I was pregnant with our first baby I was mortified. I looked on parenthood as a trial to be endured and I was devastated that it was coming so early. I hadnt finished school or even had a chance to start a career. I wish I could say all that changed when I got that first glimpse of our first baby, but truthfully, it didnt. It was a process for me to gain a testimony of motherhood. But I can say without a doubt that I know now the role of a mother is supremely powerful, important, and rewarding. This world needs women who are willing to dedicate themselves to that role. I love this talk by Julie Beck. It reaffirms in my heart that that role deserves my best efforts.
