When I initially gave up on trying to use gender neutral pronouns like They/Theyre/Theirs, I tried to keep it more laid back and told people to just try their best to go by how I was presenting, which is usually She/her/hers. And a lot of you have been really cool about doing that and I thank you. But Ive noticed recently that some of you are even still giving me she/her/hers pronouns even when Ive had a day where Ive slept in or Ive had work stuff or Ive been rushing and my facial hair is grown out and Im in a t-shirt and jeans and literally any stranger Id run into would never fathom to consider that maybe I might not be a cis man. And it makes me feel amazing when you do that, so extra double plus thank you to you folks. Thats right, this thread is totally positive energy. I bet you thought there was a but coming. Nope, just an appreciation of some people who have made me feel validated at times when I especially needed it, regardless of the cosmetic limitations of my appearance.
