When I was a kid...I loved the original SUPERMAN shows...and the first few SUPERMAN movies were cool, too. Every February, I never miss a SUPER BOWL--no matter which teams make it (Good luck, this year!) But I cant wrap my brain around calling this the anniversary of SUPER storm Sandy. Those of us who werent flooded or homeless, sat in the dark for 10 days. The last time that I went to bed at 6 at night, I had been up for the day and a half before. And I waited online for gas and almost punched out a clerk at KMart to get the last set of D batteries. NOTHING super about any of those things...so Im proposing a name change to: SHIT STORM SANDY. Maybe then the tv will stop wailing with anniversary shows of where we were then...and where we are now. But theres an even better reason. I want to see my hero--Chris Christie--wearing a jacket that says: NEW JERSEY---STRONGER THAN SHIT!! on the back.
