When I was a kid I saw a documentary about extreme body mods on TLC or somewhere and thats when I first encountered The Enigma. Amongst the other heavily modified made freaks in that show, Enigma was the only one who knew how to use his strange appearance for benefit. The other folks on that particular program had more or less shied away from society, using their looks as an excuse or a mask to hide from the rest of the world. Enigma on the other hand, had joined a traveling circus and was working as a fire eater and a sword swallower, embracing his strangeness and flaunting it for the world to see. I didnt know it at the time but watching such a strange man who seemed more comfortable in his own tattooed skin than the normals around me, that was the day my life changed course. Enigma is the reason I am a showman.
