When I was young As a little boy, I wished to be a little older, A little older than my age, I wished I was the same age as my brothers. When I was young, I wished I was a little older, A little older than my age, Older enough to love someone, Older enough to be loved by someone, Unaware I have an unbreakable love, The love of my mother, The love of my family. When I was young, I wished I was a little older, Older enough to carry that girl school bag, Older enough to kiss someone, Unaware that there is only one best kiss, Unaware that the kiss my mom gave was the best, She kissed me as I cry, She kissed me as we laugh, She kissed me when she took me to bed. When I was young, I wished I was a little older, older enough to have company, Unaware my family was the best company. When I was young, I wished I was a little older, A little older to understand life, Unaware that what I have then was life, A life with no stress, A life were I cry for no reason, But still someone would care, Care enough to stop ne from crying. Today I am a little bit older, Older enough to love, But there is no happiness here, Today as I wish, I wish not to be older, I wish I was a little younger again, Your enough to be in the palms of my mom. Younger enough to cry for no reason, But still get someone attention. Today when I cry, Nobody ask or care, The one who ask wants to make fun of it, I wish I was a little younger than my age.
