When I was young I listened to music almost non stop. My favorite stuff was inspirational... songs like EWF Head to The Sky and Devotion , Cameo The Two of Us, Peabo Bryson Crosswinds, Marvin Gaye Mercy Mercy Me, Sly and The Family Stone You Can Make it If You Try and so many other songs that lifted my spirit. On Sundays if you worked your antenna just right you could capture the signal of college station WNHU and listen to DJ Melvin the Music Maker. On those days a song used to play that embodies a lot of what I thought of and felt as a young person growing up in a changing time during the 70s and 80s and I never ever forgot this song because of its inspiration. See the signs on the road/which way do you want to go? Set your sights on your goal/The world is yours Take your brothers hand and lead the way... Dont go astray while your on your way.. Happy Birthday Earl Whitaker... Thanks for the memories and the inspiration... I will play this song forever cuz it means as much today as it did then... maybe even more so...
