When I woke this morning and enjoyed my coffee, I had visions of getting the last of the tomatoes harvested and the odd section of gutter put up before colder weather comes along -- I did not envision writing up a vandalism report to Lincoln PD. Oh yes, when I first looked out the window this morning, I saw the beautiful blue sky and the gold leaves, so happy it was Saturday...then when i looked down, I seemed to notice an odd pattern...on the lawn...found that some moron who needs a hobby in life decided to put flattend out cardboard boxes all neatly laid out edage to eadge on one section of my front lawn. Nothing was taken, moved or destroyed -- they just left flat cardboard all over my lawn. Its not the worst thing in the world but its still disconcerting that while I snoozed on the sofa during the night, someone was right outside that wall/window doing that. I have no idea who would do that - my first thought is some dumb kid prank (gasp! Because I didnt hand out tricks or treats Thursday night???) I havent had any vandalism problem in over a year. WHOEVER did it had access to boxes from food distributors - all from mainly Pizza Hut, along with some from Sysco and Yum! Corporation (suppliers to KFC, Pizza Hut -- drove by their facility when Linda and I drove through Lousiville KY). I called LPD and learned I could fill out an on -line vandalism report -- very cool, easy to use. I told them I know theres not much they can really do , but I wanted to get the information in, in case theres other incidents like this gong on in my area -- in case the idiots get found out-- if that were to be the case, hmmmmm..Judge Laura would say Your sentence: You can rake and trim and bag leaves and make my lawn all nice since you think its cool to disrespect peoples property. To borrow a fave line from MASHs Col. Potter: You just had to put Be Stupid at the top of your To-Do list last night! Nope, you punks picked the WRONG lawn to trick out - I dont mess around! Nippin stupidity in the bud!
