When Josh and I were discussing the purchase of the PS3, he knew - TopicsExpress

When Josh and I were discussing the purchase of the PS3, he knew I wanted a Wii instead. I thought it would be more practical and fun for us, especially when we had friends over. But he wanted the PS3 and I knew hed get more use out of it. It was his engagement present from me. He had planned and surprised me with such an incredible proposal, I thought he deserved something too. (He was going to buy me an engagement present too, the box set of Friends, my favorite show. I am still waiting...) Anyway, in order to appease me some, he got a game that was something we could play together. It included Trivial Pursuit. Oh my goodness, we were PITIFUL. We got such a kick out of playing together though. We were extremely intelligent in two categories: he kicked ass in the Sports category, and I in Entertainment. We got everything else wrong. We used to joke about how we hoped our children were beautiful and gifted athletes, because otherwise, they were not going to get anywhere in life. I was reminded of this with Gradys arrival, as everyone comments on traits he has gotten from his Daddy already, as well as Islas similar attributes. And his Isla Bird is far from dumb, so we were proven wrong with that as well. She made me do a double take as she announced, Thats an octagon! and all I could think was, How the heck does she know any of the gons at 2.5?! And later with her Nana, who pointed at all of the yellow flowers on the side of the road, Those are not flowers, Nana! Those are dandelions! Whew. We dodged a bullet there. Fingers crossed for Grady.
