When i was about 24yrs old i worked for a construction company based at La Guardia Airport, and during one of my lunch breaks my employer(italian guy) and i was having a conversation about some of the workers walking away with building materials, and i asked him if walking away was his euphemism for stealing....he paused for what seemed like five minutes and said candidly,i didnt know black people knew words like that...and i said funny you should say that, because there are studies suggesting that modern human language and phonetics has its origin firmly planted in Africa....his response was not fueled by racist views but one of denatured ignorance, and as with most white people, their perception of us is based soley on biased news accounts, media obfuscation and tainted history books.
