When i was younger, (not that Im not younger now :) I twirled the baton and got to lead out in the Christmas parade. I can remember the banner behind me telling everyone what they were about to watch. The Christmas Parade was coming! I was in a coveted position. I can remember how exhilarating that cold Tennessee air was as we marched through the crowd! And I can remember tossing that baton up into the air, twirling around and how it felt when the baton came down from the sky and busted me in the nose and lips. It was not pretty, but I kept marching and twirling..... In Christ we have a coveted heavenly position, but that position does not render us immune from trial, temptation or heartache....we are going to face some rough stuff. Sometimes its not pretty, but we must press on. May we all be encouraged to lift our eyes off of ourselves, each other, and all the circumstances that surround us, to gaze upon the flying banner over each of our heads. You may feel rejected today....hurt, uncared for, betrayed, used, unloved....perhaps youve brought all your mess upon yourself, or youve failed someone, or many someones and you dont love yourself and you cant fathom anyone else could. Take a moment to think of yourself at the head of your own parade, your life......and see there is a banner flying high over you, letting everyone know what is coming.....and it is LOVE! His banner over you is LOVE! Dont waste any more of your precious moments feeling unloved. The Lord Jesus loves you yesterday, today and tomorrow. He really, really does. Dont ever forget that ♡ Even now, the Savior is waiting for you to accept and receive His great love for you. He has brought me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.
