When it rains, it pours. English class had a narrative essay due - TopicsExpress

When it rains, it pours. English class had a narrative essay due today at 10pm. It had to have a word count between 625 and 650 words. I had pre-written it yesterday, and it was over 750 word count. I knew I had to polish it tonight, so when I got home around 8 I started working on it. I rewrote it a few times, changed the ending, started pulling some of the fluff out of it and i finally got it to 647 words. I proofread it over and over, and I looked up and it was 9:55. I got busted last time i sent in a essay because it didnt follow their MLA format of being double spaced in the correct format and the correct font, So i went looking for the MLA document so i could format it correctly. I couldnt find it. I started digging everywhere for it, and just could seem to find it at all. So I looked at the clock. 9:58. I said screw it, set it to times new roman, font 11, double spaced it, remembered i had to add my header and all that, and found it and added it in, and saved the document. it was 10pm on the dot. I went to the assignment page, and went to click on the submit button to send it in... AND IT WAS GONE! Apparently the website shut off submission at 10pm on the dot... and I was left sitting there in shock. English was the class I was sitting with an ~80 in already. I had already had parts counted against me for improper formatting, but Essays are a huge chunk of the grade. I emailed the teacher and attached the essay to the email, but I dont expect her to accept it at all. According to my calculations, if she doesnt accept the essay, it will take me acing almost everything left to get a passing grade out of the class. The grading scheme is weighted toward the essays being a huge chunk of the grade.
