When space exploration first began, rockets would leave the earths atmosphere and enter outer space for only a few seconds or minutes and then would be forced to reenter our atmosphere. It was quite a while before NASA could maintain a sustained orbit around the earth in outer space. This is similar to many peoples experience with God. They leave the carnal atmosphere only to soon return to their worldly habits, allowing gravity of their base world to bring them back down. A spiritual lifestyle is an orbit that is maintained well above the carnal worldly atmosphere of lusts of the eyes, lusts of the flesh, & pride of life! At the spiritual level, sin no longer controls the individual. These are the far higher heavenly places, in God, to which Paul referred to in Ephesians 1:3. Through prayer, consecration, and Holy Ghost power, the Christian is able to sustain a place in God where there is little to know worldly and carnal gravitation! Lets soar in God!
