When we approach God in prayer we must be careful not to place our confidence in our own good works, but in the greatness of His grace. In Luke 18 (verses 9-14) we have two men praying; one keeps all the rules and the other is aware that he has broken them. Why does God respond to the man who approaches God as a sinner and resist the man who has kept God’s rules? Does this mean that we should sin more in order to get our prayers answered? Why or why not?
