When we are balanced we feel calm but most often we are not balanced and we even bear weight unevenly when standing and sitting. The practice of yoga promotes balance when we practice the same sequence of poses on both sides of the body. We twist, stretch, balance and breathe deeply creating a sense of unity within. In that way the practice flushes out all of our systems including digestive, nervous, endocrine and circulatory enhancing our immunity bringing us a greater sense of peace, balance and calm.
