When will people realise that the Soviet Union is no longer. The Russian Federation is not Communist, with only 17 per cent of votes going to the Communist Party in the last election. The same disinformation, lies and manipulations spread about Gadaffi in Libya, Assad in Syria are not applied to Putin in Russia. The extensive EU sanctions on Russia have backfired with Putin now placing sanctions on EU food imports. The necessity to look for food imports elsewhere have pushed Russia into the arms of entities deemed undesirable by the West. Putin is forging strong ties with leaders who oppose US hegemony including those in Latin America. The 26 million Russians who died defending Russia from Nazism in the 1940s should be remembered when the West backs the junta in Ukraine with its neo-Nazi thugs on the streets of Eastern Ukraine. Western media, and in this country the BBC in particular have lied consistently with regard to the Ukrainian crisis.
