When will the persecution stop........... Well you all know this answer all to well...... There’s no doubt that persecution is a stark reality, and a reminder of living the Christian life. Paul warned us that “everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.......... 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. While the world is driven by the love of sin., We as Christians are not..... John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. The Bible talks a lot about suffering for the sake of Christ...... In that day, in which the New Testament was written, followers of Jesus were often ostracized by their own families and communities, and it started with the Jews first..... And now its about to come full circle......... This Man is being Punished for his Faith, plain and simple, by the leaders....... Some of the worst persecution came from the religious leaders thought out the 2000 years since Jesus came........ Acts 4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Acts 4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. Acts 4:3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide. The KJV translates Strongs G5084 in the following manner: hold (1x), prison (1x), keeping (1x). tērēsis................... I. a watching A. of prisoners B. a place where prisoners are kept, a prison II. a keeping God does not Lie........... Jesus is God in the Flesh.............. One in the same..... I saw were 2 really good young men, I personally know, except the free gift of Salvation in the past few weeks and were just Baptized this past week..... They are just beginning their walk with Christ, they will know doubt loose some, if not many friends because of this.... But God make you a promise, He does not go back on his word either........ 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. We will not all die a martyrs’ death.... We will not all be imprisoned, or beaten, or tortured for our faith.... Suffering can take many forms, and many ways, your just seeing one in this man.... By closely following, to the teachings of the Bible, we set ourselves up for rejection, mockery, loneliness, betrayal, and yes even, persecution ........ Romans 7:15–25............
