When you die, whatever you lived and died for will not benefit - TopicsExpress

When you die, whatever you lived and died for will not benefit you, IF you died not having the correct Aqeedah and a good understanding of Tawheed. This is because, the three questions you will be asked in the grave are connected to those matters. You will be asked:Who is your Lord? What is your Religion?Who is this man who was sent among you?The evidence for this is extracted from a lengthy hadeeth I quoted yesterday. The Messenger of Allaah (sallaLlaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:.....So his soul is returned to his body and there come to him two angels who make him sit up and they say to him,Who is your Lord?’ He says, ‘Allaah.’They say, ‘What is your religion?’ He says, ‘My religion is Islam.’They say, ‘Who is this man who was sent among you?’ He says, ‘He is the Messenger of Allaah (sallaLlaahu alayhi wa sallam).’They say, ‘What did you do?’ He says, ‘I read the Book of Allaah and I believed in it.’ Then a voice calls out from heaven, ‘My slave has spoken the truth, so prepare for him a bed from Paradise and clothe him from Paradise, and open for him a gate to Paradise.’[Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1676.]*******It is better for the believer to engage his life in matters that will increase him in Eemaan and taqwa before death approaches him, rather than those matters capable of jeopardising his relationship with his Lord. The two angels will not ask you about your Nationality/Ethnicity/Tribe/Race, and what you did for them, but rather, you shall be questioned over Allaahs favour on you and how you benefited the Muslim ummah with it, irrespective of where there have come from.Allaah says:O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allaah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allaah ; indeed, Allaah is Acquainted with what you do.[Q5:8]
