Where has all the money gone in America? Just follow the money paper trail. Even in the 1990s private ownerships still had their names on their businesss. Now you will find that those very same businesss are labeled by the names of corporate entities, insurance companies and banks; such as US Cellular, United, Chase, and Allstate. Throughout the past twenty years single family middle class households have had to go from single incomes, to two incomes, and even three and four household incomes between two parents. Prices have risen higher even faster than the cost of living increase as well as double and more in many cases. Families as well as individual households are taxed to between 35-50% of their income toward their monthly taxes of property, state and federal income, savings, investments, not to forget government sanctioned costs for mandatory expenses like insurance for home, vehicles and business, and license plates, registration and titles, them theres sales taxes on all goods and services. An interesting experiment would be to note how much tax one person pays throughout a single tax year. Save all receipts for one year and note how much tax is paid in sales alone, then add all the taxes paid out in every other category and tally it up. Deduct that from your annual earnings and see what the difference is. If you file any income taxes, subtract those from your total. See what the percentage of your taxes are for your annual gross income, and you will see how much you are paying for the cost of your part of this countrys government to operate. Ask yourself if you feel like youre getting more in value than youre paying for in cash [the freedom you give up for the things you have]? Note how much is left over to know how much youre not getting back, ever. That freedom you gave up that youll never get back again. Then ask how much of that do you feel is really worth what value youre getting back? If theres a big difference, ask yourself what you feel would give you more value for the freedom you give up for it?
