Where to start? Well, I have had an interesting few days lately. I went to see my doctor last Monday and told him I had some pain across my chest around my collar bones. We scheduled a stress test at Audubon for Wednesday to try to find an answer to why. I was on the treadmill for less than 3 minutes and my life took an abrupt change. My heart rate went to an extremely dangerous rate and I was pulled off the treadmill. Nurses were all around me and a doctor was called in from the hallway. I was told I would have to be admitted ... I couldnt leave. What followed was an ultrasound of my heart, lab work, and finally they told me I would be going to the cath lab for an angiogram to look for blockage. They also told me they would do angioplasty if one was found. Turns out I had a 95% blocked artery in my heart! They put in a stent to restore blood flow. It was a very long day into night. I also had to lay flat and still after the procedure because of bleeding until 10:30 that night. I will start cardio rehab on Feb 6th. I dont fit any profile for this and the cardiologist told me he had not had a case like mine. Lucky Me. They also told me I was extremely lucky that I was already in the hospital when this happened. Soooo, that is what I have been up to. If you dont see me around for awhile this will probably be the reason why. Ill be keeping up with everyone on FB. A little down , but not out. Now we have to look for the cause of all this. More as it becomes available.
