While Snyder is a competent administrator, he, like most in the GOP still clings to the notion that business tax breaks will create jobs and prosperity. No company will invest if they have no market for their products. What really creates prosperity is money in the hands of consumers. But, how do you accomplish that? History provides us with an excellent example. The ramped up defense spending for WWII ended the great depression. And, after the war was over, spending on infrastructure (ie; the interstate highway system), the space program and technical research continued the trend. What we need is massive government stimulus to get the economy going. And, it should be paid for by those who have captured a lopsided share of the nations wealth over the last few decades. But, they wont part with it easily. They have somehow managed to convince a whole lot of people that its class warfare. I submit the real class warfare is the accumulation of wealth at the top, while folks work for wages that qualify them for assistance.
