While fishing for flounder at our 2nd spot yesterday, we noticed a little boy with his mom, fishing about 50 feet away from us. The boy had a contraption on his leg with pins for an apparent severe fracture. As we pulled in 3 fish in a short period of time, we overheard the boy ask his mom Why are they catching fish and weve been here all day and havent caught any? I told Chuck that since we already had a cooler full from the first spot that I wanted to give our fish from this spot to the boy. He agreed and we took them over and offered them the 3 flounder. His mom asked How much? I said Free, of course! with a smile. The look of astonishment on both of their faces was priceless. As we talked for a bit, we learned the boy had never caught a fish before. My sweet Chuck told the boy that when he gets the pins out of his leg to meet us back out there at our first spot where we wade in the water and he will teach him how to catch flounder. The little boy was so excited and his mom was so grateful for our kindness. It was such a heartwarming experience!! :)
