While referring to Win and Rule by Islamic leaning parties in any election liberals, secularist and non-Muslims sometime spread fear about Islamic Rule based on Quran. There is no Rule of Governance explicitly on the basis of Quran. Sometimes Islamic parties say that Quran should be the basis of the constitution. But they don’t explain in details what do they want to mean. Quran did not explicitly said how to rule a country. But it gave hundreds of guidelines for an ideal society and country. I am a layman. The followings I understood with my little brain. If I am wrong, please correct me. I am sorry to take so much of space. I am not preaching here as everybody has the wisdom to judge. Freedom for Non-muslims: Quran says “ your religion is for you and my religion is for me” You will be held responsible for your acts and I will be held responsible for my acts. That means it gives freedom of practice for other religion. Muslim ruled Spain and Portugal for almost 800 years but did not force the Christian population there to embrace Islam. But after the Reconquista, almost all Muslims who remained there were forced to convert to Christianity or killed. Same thing was done in Russia after the conquest of all Muslim Khanates of Astrakhan,Kazan, Shibir, Nogai, Circassia, Tyumen, Udumurt etc. 4 million Muslim men and boys over the age of 10 were slaughtered in Circassia from 1861-1874 by Imperial Russia. Muslim Black slaves in America had the same fate of conversion. 6-12 million Muslims were killed by the Qing Dynasty in China after the defeat of the Muslims at the Dungan rebellion in Ningxia, Xansu, Qing Hai, Yunan etc. Social justice: Quran says ” you are not a Muslim if your neighbour is starving.” That means the state must ensure bread and butter for every single citizen of the country. Education: Quran says” Read in the name of your God. Oh God increase my knowledge”. Quran did not say that only men will read. It was for both men and women. And Muhammad(PBH) said “ go to China in quest of knowledge.” That’s definitely not for religious knowledge. At that time China was the leader of Science and technology. China was not as Muslim country. That means it’s a must for the state to ensure all kinds of education. Boko Haram and Talibans are wrong and un-Islamic who oppose western education and education for girls. Education is universal in the eyes of Islam. Gender Equality: Quran says” For you, it is son and for me (God), it is daughter.” It is not acceptable to Allah. It means that in the eyes of Allah, both men and woman are equal. Distribution of Resources: Quran says that all of the resources you have are the gift from Allah and you must share them with poor and destitute. Otherwise you will be punished in your eternal life. Is it not better than the so called communism devised by human beings? Exploitation free society: Quran said that a human being must not dominate another human being as only Allah give respect and honour to people. Fairness in business: Quran repeatedly says” Never make discrepancies while weighing and Allah will uphold the balance”. That means fairness in business. No racism: Quran says “ We created human being of different colours so that they can be identified.” Quran says “ you have to accept a ruler with wisdom even if he is a slave”. Economy: Quran imposed a mandatory tax system on yearly profit for all Muslims. It also says” we made Business Halal and Interest forbidden(haram).” That’s capitalism without exploitation. That means exploitation by modern day financial institutions were professed by Quran. Under Interest free system nobody will ever be bankrupt.
