While reviewing my tax info, I realized that I paid 25% of my gross salary in medical and dental insurance... and still couldnt afford to have my teeth fixed, even partially. And that percentage is going up next year. This is what was decided to be a better system than what we had before? By the medical insurance companies maybe, but not by me, and not by many of the people I know. We asked for legislation that would regulate the medical insurance system and improve the coverage for all Americans, and they took advantage if that request. This is what we have, higher insurance costs and a law that allows them to penalize you for not being able to afford it. So what is the next step on this path? Fine the people too poor to afford insurance so that they make sure you stay poor. Hope Im not the only one who sees the divide between rich and poor become wider and more defined. They are removing the middle class, they are dividing the population into the wealthy and the impoverished... which one do you think they will put YOU in?
