While visiting the 911 Memorial this year I was haunted by the - TopicsExpress

While visiting the 911 Memorial this year I was haunted by the thousands of photos of the people that were lost in this tragedy and the families and friends that mourn their loss to this day 13 years later. Many of the children who were 5 years old when they lost a parent in 911 graduated from high school this year. Did they wonder what it would be like if their mom or dad would have been there in the audience? How many weddings parties have had an empty chair at the head of the table this past year? 911 belongs to all of us. The sorrow associated with the loss is shared by us all as well. But the thoughts of the people still alive who are still mourning the death of a father, mother, son or daughter keeps creeping back into my thoughts. That day changed all of us. But it changed their lives so profoundly there is probably not a day that passes that they dont relive the anguish of learning that someone they loved was gone forever. It is the anniversary of 911. We pause once a year now to reflect and remember. Maybe today we can remember the ones who live everyday with the 911 tragedy. It is our hope and prayer they will know how much we care about them as well. (I thought this video was fitting)
