While were on the subject, I saw on a comment under a copy of this video that said, This is the night that Patti LaBelle rips the Apollo a new ass! (I have personally witnessed Patti LaBelle lean up against the house-right wall of the stage at the huge Fabulous Fox Theatre, throw her head back, and kick BOTH heels across a 70 stage like SCUD missiles.... then, hit the floor like a tree falling, and log roll across the stage to her shoes, all the while never missing a single note! You can bet I was doing the gospel boogie right along with her from somewhere in that theatre. After intermission, she came back out on the stage and sat her heels on top of the grand piano saying to the audience, You know they wont stay on for two seconds, but I do just want to let you know that I brought them with me! And she never wore her shoes for the entire second half of the show, which was a good things - because I know several times when they would have went flying across that stage again!
