Who is the real architect of Gujarat? The song unequivocally - TopicsExpress

Who is the real architect of Gujarat? The song unequivocally answers this question that it is the common man who is behind the creation of Gujarat. Its about time that the common man, the creator of Gujarat, puts his hand up and stakes his rightful claim in the future and progress of this state. Narsinh Mehta, the legendary 14th century poet-saint of Gujarat (author of the famous bhajan Vaishnav Jan To) wisely wrote Hun karu, hun karu, ej agnyaanta; shakat no bhaar jem shwaan taaney, implying that it is foolish for any single person to take credit of everything and every accomplishment. Similarly, it is not any one person who can take the credit of Gujarats development. Every Gujarati - irrespective of religion, caste, creed or regional affiliations has contributed towards the development of the state. Also, the development that the state is witnessing has not happened overnight. Be it landmark initiatives and institutes like Sardar Sarovar, Amul, IPCL, PRL, Reliance Refinery, IIM, Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, Kandla Port or support to sectors like Textiles, Diamond Trade, Agriculture, Fisheries and Employment, the development of Gujarat has its roots in the long and credible history of various developmental initiatives taken during various Congress regimes. Besides, Congressmen and great visionaries like Gandhi and Sardar have also contributed immensely in taking the state on the path of progress. The song was launched at Smt. Sonia Gandhis massive rally at Rajkot on 3rd October, 2012 which witnessed a turnout of over 2 lakh people.
