Who knew that Jimmy Daniels and I would finally get to see my cousin Ben Spies race, after 11 years of Jimmys dialysis and a kidney transplant? We were sitting at table #11, in honor of Bens #11. Who knew that it would be the last race Ben competed in? He announced his retirement at the age of 29. Ben was incredibly talented, but his mother was the architect of his destruction. Ben, I will miss you at the races. You were USAs best hope for a MotoGP championship. Godspeed, Ben.
