Who provided the singing voice that was dubbed over for Deborah Kerr in the film adaption of The King and I? Marni Nixon dubbed for the role of Anna in the film version! Nixon’s voice over credits also include the film versions of West Side Story (Maria) and My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle). Because of her uncredited dubbing work in these films, The New York Times said she is perhaps the most famous singing voice -- without a face in the history of motion pictures. Nixon also played Sister Sophia in the film version of The Sound Of Music.
