Who would like this beautiful quilt made in YOUR house? You can own it!!!! It is being raffled to help my good friend Kristine Woodruff Whittaker! All you have to do is buy a ticket from me for $10 and if you buy two at one time you get and extra ticket for a quilted table runner. You can PM me if you want to mail a check or PayPal to: corkygal@mac. I would appreciate any money that is sent via PayPal done as a gift so that NO fees are deducted and Kris gets more money for the kids! Please please please share this with all your friends and lets use social media to keep a family together! Here is Kristines situation: March 28, 2014, my four grandchildren were placed in my care by DSS. I am a single college-educated woman who at the time, was working a swing-shift job as a 911 Telecommunicator. My employer accomodated my need to work only day shift for as long as they could, but I then had to resign from my job on June 12th. I have not yet been able to find another job. Friends and family have been quite generous and helpful to us, and I hate to even have to ask for more help. Unfortunately, the assistance we are getting through DSS is minimal and the parents are not contributing to their support at all. If I cannot find a way to meet their needs, then DSS will likely remove the kids from my care and place them in foster care....something I absolutely cannot allow to happen! These children have numerous appointments every week to medical specialists and counselors, which takes a lot of gas money. One of the children has no medical insurance and has been quite sick, so all of those expenses are paid by me also. I have my own medical problems and now have no medical insurance. Diapers, wipes, laundry detergent (I make my own to cut cost), shampoo, toilet paper, soap....all of it adds up quickly. The food stamps we get barely covers a weeks worth of food for five people. Can you help her You have no idea how appreciated it will be. And as anyone who knows Kris can tell you, it WILL be paid forward as soon as she is back on her feet and able!
