Whoever is canvassing for this is not well. Have you ever asked yourself why the herdsmen where driven out of the north that has been their grazing land till the 80s and 90s when they became part of our landscape? They are here in the south as provocateurs. The south had never been a Fulani grazing territory until the land use decree made way for the northern military and civilian governors took all the lands and gave to their retired generals and feudal lords as big farms. In the north today, some bigtimebfsrmers have farms as large as two or three states of the SE put together. Go and find out how much farmland Nyako has to himself from which he exports fruits and earns hard currency. When these large farmers took over the peoples land in the north, the peasant farmers and the cattle rears where ejected and they all flooded the south. So why is anyone in the SE or SS considering the carving out of grazing land from land that is not available to give to the Fulani so that they will stop provoking us to war on our land? The cows they breed is business. They have never given out any for free to anyone. They do not pay tax or VAT as such. So how does providing land free for them make sense to anyone in the south? I am sorry for Abia State put up to fly this kite. It is time to wind down the nomadic cattle production and get the cattle rearing into ranches in the Mambilla plateau if the rest of the ancient grazing lands are out of the question. It is also time to start easing off the unhealthy red meat and focus on the mass production of white poultry meat and fish farming for the healthy animal protein we need. This can be done comfortably every where in the north and south and no one needs to be mischievously drafted to the south to be provocateurs to tribal and ethnic wars.
