Whos running the government? I suggest you now just keep C-Span - TopicsExpress

Whos running the government? I suggest you now just keep C-Span tuned in, flipping back and forth between both houses as long as theyre broadcasting from the houses. If you watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC, or big three, then you are NOT being told the truth of whats happening and you are NOT even being told about most of the events going on there. As it turns out, since October 1, sole authority rests in the hands of Eric Cantor or his designee. Dont believe me? The entire House erupted yesterday, on live television, over a question of order. A congressman started to put forth a motion that a vote be taken on re-opening the government. He was told he wasnt allowed to do that. He asked why. And the new rule was read to him. Only Eric Cantor (R-VA 7th District), a Teapartier, or his designee is allowed to put forth a motion and to ask for a vote to re-open the government. In other words, only Eric Cantor can tell everyone to get back to work. The fate of 314 MILLION people rests in the hands of a man elected by only 222,983 voters. Cantor was on the floor when the question of order arose. What did he do when another Congressman started to ask Cantor a question? He bolted out the door, left the Capitol Building, and refused to answer his phone. Well never know what was going to be asked, because Cantor fled—in effect, holding us hostage for yet another day. It turns out the House Democrats had agreed to a full compromise, agreeing to give the Republicans everything they want. Everyone was waiting now for the Democrats to move for the vote as they had agreed to do to show good faith. The vote was then going to be taken, and conceivably, government would have been back in business yesterday since the Senate also was in session. Either the Dems got torpedoed or Cantor is a douche. Maybe both. Or perhaps the Teapartier faction has decided now to hold both parties, and you, hostage. You officially, citizens, have been deprived of your representative government. Once your heart rate returns to a normal range, let this sink in: the House voted for that change to the rules of order, yet erupted in rage because it claimed it didnt know. And your representatives took it away from you, right in front of you, with the vote to make it so.
