Why I dont Love Animals I have a profound respect for all of Gods creation, even animals. I see the beauty in the uniqueness of animals; and as a human being, an intelligent creature with dominion over animals, I feel a natural protective instinct over smaller, weaker (if you will) creatures such as domestic animals and pets. That notwithstanding, I do not and will not value the life of an animal over that of a fellow human being anywhere in the world. Should the choice be between saving the life of a child or that of a puppy I will save the child without hesitation. That my choice isnt remarkable as it would be a no brainer to all might surprise you, because there are some who would choose otherwise. And while that is their prerogative it is incredulous to me. In my opinion, I dont care how noble you think your declaration of love for animals or defense of animal rights makes you, you are not that good a human being if you value the life of an animal over that of a human being, all things being equal.
