Why, I have just had another marvelous weekend with the YLA program. This time, it was not Model United Nations, but Youth in Government. I went to the West Virginia State Capitol for 3 days, as a member of the Judicial branch. I acted as an attorney in the Supreme Court of Appeals, and as a Justice for the Supreme Court of Appeals (I was allowed to interrupt others without getting yelled at. AW, YISSS.) Those given positions in itself were an incredible thing to experience. Moreover, I was spending my weekend with the Gems of the Earth. I loved everyone I met, but Im specifying in on Kennedy, Sofie, Riley, Phillip, Sam, Kris, Matthew, Joe, Colonel Scott Womack, and Ashley Harvey Mann. These people made me not want to go home. I didnt want to leave. I love my sister from another mister, Sofie, so much. She informed me of this program, and had me open up from my introverted personality. I am so comfortable around folks in the same interests demographic as me, now. Thank you, Sofie. Youre amazing. Id also like to thank Colonel Womack, and Miss Mann for being my advisors, my mentors, and my support system during this wonderful time. I have gotten to experience things this weekend, I never would have dreamed of experiencing before. Thank you to my best friends Riley, Kennedy, and Sofie for being my support systems, as well. You guys can accept my awkward personality, and still love me for me. I really couldnt ask for better friends than that. I love you guys, dearly. I have additionally decided to adjust my career path, into a Law Studies path. Youre looking at a future trial attorney, here (and, hopefully, a Computer Engineer, as well.) I know I have just written a novel of THANKS I LOVE YOUTHANKSOHTHANKYOU mushy crap; but, I mean all of it. This program, has changed my life; for the better. I am SO looking forward to Camp Horseshoe this summer, and Im looking forward to my next 3 years in this program. Again, thank you to all of these folks. They all make me desire to be a better person, and I think I am blessed to have their positive influence in my life. /end of mushy novel
