Why St. Patties day? i ask myself this every year. 1} SPD commemorates a catholic saint 2} SP drove the snakes out of Ireland; since there were no snakes there anyway, it is generally thought that this means the Pagan religions. Once the pagans were gone the vikings were free to loot and pillage. up to that time the vikings got their asses handed to them by the Irish. 3} in the 19th century, the irish immigrants were depicted as stupid, drunken, sub-human monkeys, in attempt to curb their immigration into the US by natural born citizens. SPD perpetuates the stereotype, only the non-irish use it as an excuse to be the above. 4} since i am the last named scion of the old gods of Ireland, if you are truly Irish, you should celebrate by worshiping me. i accept visa, MA, and discover for donations.
