Why do I continue to have expectations of others and set myself up for disappointment? I love my friends and community, I hate being reminded that I cant allow everyone into that circle. Sometimes I regret the necessity of dealing with people at all and suspect its too often not worth my efforts. Now is the time to remember the virtue of being selfish. My personal sacrifices for others need to be greatly reduced immediately. When you dont feel valued by others, it easily reminds you that you must be careful who you allow to affect your happiness. Im also oddly starting to have a better understanding of the 80s movie, Weird Science. If I cant create the perfect guy for me by bits and pieces with a bra on my head, can I at least get a different qualified volunteer for each need I would like to have met by someone?
