Why is CNN covering the story? I can think of two reasons: 1- Tariq is a US citizen 2- with the flood of posts that relate to this (and many other similar incidents) on different social media platforms, CNN can not afford but to cover the story. Israel has managed to control international media for decades, but with social media, it is beginning to loose grip. The way I see it; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms have caused far more damage to Israel than Fateh, Hamas, Palestinian Authority, and of course the Arab League ever will. Why? Because this form of media has given voice to the PEOPLE, the true and legitimate representative of the Palestinian cause.
