Why is happiness so elusive? Everyone wants to be happy, and yet few are! This is lifes biggest mystery! Why is it that one thing we want the most, remains out of reach.....sometimes for life! Happiness is the most important elixir to live a full life. It is to be welcomed with open arms. No effort is needed to be happy because it is wired in us. It is the Prana that sensitises our organs and rushes blood to our hearts. It can make us accept the worst, with a smile. Yet, we dont invest in it. Do you remember saying, I have to work hard, but it would make me so happy to spend time with my children. Or I love to play the guitar, but where is the time? Or I really would love to take a vacation, but where is the money. We have a million excuses to not spend happy moments. This is because, we live in an either - or reality. If I have one thing, I cant have another. If I am fifty, I can learn to drive or if I am fifty, its too late to be married. This kind of thinking is the root cause of all our unhappiness. Lets understand, we have multiple intelligence and can do multiple things all at the same time. We can work and spend time with our children. We can cook and clean the house and spend time pursuing a hobby. We follow laws of nature, a tree does not say I will allow my root to grow first and then grow leaves and flowers. Everything happens simultaneously. Everything happens all at once. All the organs of our body function simultaneously. Similarly if we just follow this law, we can do everything simultaneously. Can you work and SMS your wife, give instructions on your email and plan for your childs birthday and pray ? Yes you can, all being done at the same moment. This is called using your potential and intent in the most divine manner. Moment you get the mind to think of it as a task, it gets stressed and tense. All flow of Prana is disturbed and you suddenly become tired, fatigued and restless. Create a paradigm shift and watch your life becoming happy. Think....... Do you think we can be seventy and become a yoga teacher? Yes,we can, my dad did it. Do you think we can be eighty, and do all the cooking, yes, we can, my mother does it. Do you think we can be ninety and hope to live till hundred, Yes we can, my uncle plans for it. We have some amazing people around us, doing and saying some amazing stuff. They are our inspiration. If you dont have anyone in your immediate family, read about such people and get inspired. They dont live an either-or life. They live their life, creating moments of happiness, not only for themselves but even for others. So, stop postponing and start living from this moment. Notice the happiness quotient rising!
