Why is it so hard to apologize sometimes? We all make mistakes, say the wrong thing, or are unintentionally thoughtless at times. Relationships do best when we can take responsibility for our part in the problem and help repair the wound with a heartfelt apology. It may be that in your first family, it wasnt OK to make mistakes, or to acknowledge them when you did. Understanding that we are not perfect- and no one else is either, may make it easier to face our failures and apologize when needed.
