Why is it that some Christians, specifically those residing in the United States, seem to believe their religion is under attack. Catholics seem to be managing ok, and most of the Christian populace elsewhere in the world seem to be fine. I think perhaps we saw the lack of religion, and freedom, behind the iron curtain, and recoiled....hell, we altered our pledge of aliegance to include under god. It speaks i think to how long our memory isnt, and our tendency to assume something has always been like it is now.... A second thing there is the flawed assumption that the United States is a Christian nation, founded on Christian principals. It is in fact meant to isolate us from religious oppression, this is one of its central pillars. If one looks to see the joys of a theocracy, isis is glad, it seems, to show the world. And, incidentally, they have actually attacked Christians, and have vociferously stated they plan to do so, well, untill they kill or convert them all. Strange, that the Christian Right has not raised the hue and cry to hasten us to attack an actual, self affirmed enemy....
