Why is this low life scumbag still walking free??? He was caught on camera, identified by the victim and the witness and has turned himself in admitting his guilt!! Ill tell you why...HE IS A COP! He is above the law, above reproach and above having to pay the price for his crime!! Even if as he says, the conductor grabbed for his phone, HE IS A COP, A SUPPOSED PROFESSIONAL, A MEMBER OF WHAT IS CLAIMED TO BE THE BEST AND MOST WELL TRAINED POLICE FORCE IN THE WORLD!! His training should have taught him to identify himself, detain the victim, go to the token clerk and call for assistance! His actions lead me to believe he was in the same class as Officer Panteleo who choked Eric Garner to death for selling loose cigarettes!!! I am a recently retired from the New York City Transit Authority and as a Conductor, in 1989, I was randomly shot in the eye causing me to loose the sight in the left eye for eight months. It was only after 11 surgeries that my vision was restored, so I am well aware of the dangers I and my coworkers face on a daily basis, but never did I think I would ever have to fear being attacked by a NYC Police Officer....either on or off duty!!!! Traveling at that hour of the morning he was most likely tanked up, rejected by a woman and feeling the bravado of his so called position of authority which left him with the notion that I am a cop and can do as I please with no chance of repercussions! She attempted to grab his phone....she was not resisting an arrest, she was of no threat to him and like a little prick, he attacked her from behind!!! Is this the element they are hiring these days? This is the scum they are putting on the streets to protect the public??? If this guy walks then I hope this entire city erupts in a shit storm of riots!!! Transit workers should pull the Blue Flu tactic that the police do; operate their trains and busses at 10 miles an hour; call in every single instance of a person or item they deem to be suspicious and any other tactic to slow down or bring this city to a halt. Are these action in violation of the Taylor Law? Yes they are, but so are the actions surrounding the police slow down and it appears that not a God dam thing is going to happen to them!! Then again, they are NEW YORK CITY POLICE OFFICERS....ABOVE AND BEYOND THE LAW!!! I am not posting this for it to be up for debate or opposing comments. If you dont like what Ive said, HIT THE UNFRIEND BUTTON NOW!!!! ADIOS AND DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE ASS AS YOU GO! YOU WONT BE MISSED!!!
