Why no concern for making things in America? Where is the sheer outrage with our balance of trade that America is no longer the greatest exporter of the world as in 1980 and now the greatest importer of the world? And, why this free market fundamentalism ideology which also includes world trade treaties which advantage short term profits for our managerial elite and kicks workers of America in the gut and also guts out Americas manufacturing? WHY we ask? Because corporate business, including the US Chamber of Commerce, which is really the world chamber in these times, and ultra wealthy have no need for America anymore. They are the over-class in subsidized planes by us. Our democracy gets in their way. Their selfishness and greed has made them not care what happens to US, except for our system to protect their ownership, the blue sea lanes of worldwide (energy wasting) commerce and to keep the military might to enforce their selfish interests. We took an evil turn buying into world wide free market fundamentalism of Reaganomics. I shame myself for I was active in Evangelicals for Reagan. I believe he would today say something like Glen Beck said today in apology to America, if he could. We were sold by a GE salesman the need for trickle down theory, de-regulation including NO monitoring of charters of corporations for the good of the country and people, and the dismissal of the counter balance of democracy for labor, unions, leaving whats like a one party system, workers on their own, but business meeting in whats called Business Roundtable to plot. Even the bogus bonuses of our CEOs, who are the highest paid CEOs of the world, reveal the corruption and the rot to democracy as we have incentivized GREED, and the only thing really American made anymore.
