◄Why read Bhagawad Gita► ►even if you dont understand it.. ►A Guru lived in an ashram in the distant mountain with his disciples. Each morning, the Guru was up early and taught Bhagawad Gita to the disciples. ►One day a disciple asked, Gurudev ! I try to read the Bhagawad Gita just as you teach but I dont understand it and what little I do understand, I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Gita do? ►The Guru quietly closed the book and pointed at a pot, which was full of mud and had holes everywhere. Take this down to the river and bring it back with water. ►The disciple did as he was told with total reverence, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the ashram. The Guru laughed and said, Youll have to move a little faster next time, and sent him back to the river with the pot again. ►This time the disciple ran faster, but again the pot was empty before he returned to the ashram due to many tiny holes in the pot. Out of breath, irritated, he told the Guru that it was impossible to carry water in a pot full of holes, and he went to get a bucket instead. ►The Guru said, I dont want a bucket of water; I want a pot of water. Youre just not trying hard enough, and he went out the door to watch the disciple try again. ►At this point, the disciple knew it was impossible, exhausted, tired and angry, he wanted to show his Guru that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got back to the ashram. The disciple again dipped the pot into river and ran hard, but when he reached his Guru the pot was again empty. ►Out of breath, he said angrily, SEE.... it is useless! ►So you think it is useless? The Guru said, Look at the pot The boy looked at the pot again and realized that the pot looked different. It had been transformed from a dirty old muddy pot to a clean, shining pot, inside out. ►Dear, thats what happens when you read the Gita. You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be transformed, inside and out. Do not bother how much you remember or understand but simply read it without expecting results, thats when the best results happen to you ►The disciple bowed down at the feet of the Guru in reverence and looked at the Gita book for the first time with much awe and veneration.
