Widespread showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast today ahead of our next cold front. Rain will be spotty early this morning, and then become likely heading through the afternoon. Widespread severe weather is unlikely, but some strong storms are possible at times. The primary concern is high wind gusts up to 60 mph along with some hail. The threat for tornadoes appears to be very low. The stronger storms will also contain very heavy rain and frequent lightning. The chance for rain today is 80%. Temperatures will be lower today with more clouds and rain. Highs are expected near 80.
